If at the end of four quarters the Aggies find they are tied with the t-sips, the game will enter
a tiebreaker. College tiebreakers are not "sudden death" like NFL games, and the game clock does
not run. Each team is allowed one offensive series starting from the 25-yard line.
If, for example, the t-sips win the coin toss and choose to possess the ball first, they play
until they score, lose the ball (to fumble or interception) or run out of downs. Let's say the t.u.
quarterback throws a lousy pass that is intercepted by an Aggie player. The A&M player
runs for the endzone. He makes it to the two-yard line, but a clumsy fellow in an orange uniform
manages to tackle him. The Aggies then begin a new offensive series from the 25-yard line (and
that magnificent run was for nothing).
If the score is still tied after each team has completed its offensive series, the game goes into a
second overtime period. Each team is allowed one time out during each period.
