Time Out Each team is allowed three time outs per half. Any time outs not used at the end of a half are lost. They cannot be accumulated. Each team receives one additional time out during each overtime period. (See Overtime Rules) |

Offside This penalty basically means a player was on the wrong side of the ball when the play began. |

Face Mask A player has been penalized for grabbing an opponent's face mask. Since this is a dangerous foul the penalty is very severe |

Holding Players are only allowed to "grab" the player holding the ball. Players should block their opponents with their bodies, not by holding them. |
